Stroke center staff member with patient The Stroke Center-Dallas is a center for persons recovering from stroke. We provide a continuum of treatment services which includes opportunities to participate in cutting edge research in neuropharmacologic therapy.

Our Mission

It is the mission of the Stroke Center-Dallas to:

Establish evidence-based practice through clinical research trials
Train students in allied health disciplines in state-of-the-art stroke practices
Provide long-term rehabilitation at a manageable cost

The Stroke Center-Dallas, located within TWU's Institute of Health Sciences-Dallas Center, was established in 1992 to provide treatment and training in neurological rehabilitation specifically for stroke. Individuals from across the state of Texas can be served by this university supported center.
